That's an awesome find. And you're so close too, I'm jealous.
My pro is down for a while, rebuild crank, redo top end, parts not for another month.
Post some pics of the inside. There may be faster skis now, but there's none that have that much power at that weight. There never will be ever again with everything going 4 stroke.

What is the story? Why did they buy it and store it without ever riding?

480lbs, 140hp. Make sure you run premium fuel only, and try and avoid ethanol gas.

This thing will probably beat you up, you can trim it up all the way to take some of the bite out of it and it'll blow a big rooster tail a few feet high and about 50 feet back. But you should really try and get to the point you can drive it and use the trim effectively.

When I ride hard I trim down in the corners and put my weight out and to the back. Might want some aftermarket sponsons at some point too, I have some Beach Houses on my pro and it really makes it stick even more. If you trim down too far it will just nose dive though and it has enough power and it's small enough that it'll just keep going underwater.

Also make sure you do all the maintenance on it, specially tightening the exhaust manifolds. This is a super good resource https://sites.google.com/site/polarispwcknowedge/Home

thanks for this info....muchy appreciated....i have 110 octane at pump and like to know which 2 stroke oil to use....also....do iridium plugs work well in these?.....when i put iridium plugs in my waveblaster 2 760 , it ran so awesome...no sputtering ... easy starts...very smooth....better transitions...higher top speed...never fouled....
i cant wait to drive this thing.....but i want to be very cautious..reading alot...

I use Klotz for everything, always better to use expensive oil on these boats to keep them running, fixing them is not good. I have some pitting in a connecting rod and have to redo the crank. Can't get parts from one place, bearings from another cross referenced, rods from SBT, pistons from another, etc.

You want to take good care of these things and keep them running good. Not to mention cheap oil will gum up the exhaust port valves and make them stick, and you'll be stuck cleaning them.

People usually recommend the Polaris VES (might be something different now) or Klotz.

Kinda neat there's three of us Pro guys in the Chicago area.
