    750 x2 help

I bought a 750 small pin setup to put in my x2. It's got a westcoast head, factory pipe, drilled waterbox, and dual 44 mikuni carbs on it.

I finished the build and it starts great and revs up in the garage perfectly. I put it in the water yesterday and it acts like it's gonna rip until about 1/3 throttle then it gets louder but doesn't have any more power like it's "falling on its face". To me it sounds like a full delivery issue like it has what was in the carb when I first hit the throttle but once it uses that it isn't pumping enough to itself.

My question is has anyone else run into this? And how much should be coming through the return line back to the tank? Because I removed the line and put it in a water bottle and my brother and I held it back on its ramp and I pinned it and it's only a very small trickle for the return line.

    Any suggestions? Thank you

By it gets louder you mean the engine is revving up but you are losing speed?

Yeah somewhat but it doesn't really get louder you can just hear that it boggs down and that's when using it against the dock. With me on it it isn't even enough to plane out

This is my carb setup. Does anyone know what it's from? And do you mean the screws? The low speed is 1 1/4 turns out and the high speed is 3/4 of a turn out.
I am using k&n filters but have prok ones on the way

Try backing the high speeds out and see if that helps or makes it worse. Mine are set at 1 1/2 out.

Ok thanks. Do you have the same carbs? If so what gasket set do I buy to fit them?

I just realized I don't have a check valve between my tank and the vent. Can someone tell me if this could be my problem because I am not getting positive pressure in my tank?

SBNs dont need pressure in the tank to function. Definitely get a check valve for safety though.
