Ski is in winter storage.... Place where I store it/ bought it from, traded me a impeller upgrade of my choice(installed) for all the original 650 engine/electronics(along with free winter storage for the year and winterizing)...Also was going to check the pump housing/wear ring and if need be replace it with one in better shape(for free)... thought that was a pretty good deal and saved me from having to sell the 650 stuff separate.. still deciding between the 9/15 hooker or the 10/16 hooker.... im leaning towards the 10/16 hooker....need to decide and let him know before the warm season comes so it is 100% ready for this year

we also found on our last day riding that I still had an issue where it seemed it was dying out due to fuel starvation upon fast/choppy riding.... We finally found the culprit!... damn "ON" pickup tube has a crack in it at around the 3/4 full mark... upon hitting waves, that crack must pickup air, causing our sputter/die concern... checked my reserve pickup and no cracks/leaks found- ran perfect on reserve.... so I will be ordering a new pickup assy sooner or later...

I like this build. I recently picked up an old SN to tinker with and will be following this build closely.

New season update: Decided to go with the 9/15 hooker prop but upon my guy installing it, he noticed my stator housing had some damage to it so I he is in the process on replacing that as well...so basically the only thing I didn't replace on this ski is the actual fuel tank and the driveshaft! haha.... brand new 1990 Superjet! Should be ready for some next weekend fun! had some custom decals made as well... had the 2007 superjet logo made to fit and in my colors.. along with some new warning decals- old ones didn't come off nicely and I don't feel like repainting ski(just yet! ) … also need to install my blowsion fuel pickup kit to fix my stock defective one.... should be a good year of riding!

Re: 1990 Square Nose SuperJet Build

installed the jetmaniac waterbox this weekend... I had to do some slight modifications for it to fit in the square nose but nothing crazy( A riser, aka hydroturf pole shock pad, underneath it and crossed the water box straps)… the sound is amazing and the weight savings is astounding as well... very happy with this.. I will be making a video to show what the jetmaniac water box sounds like on a 701 with b-pipe setup since I was unable to find any videos of what they sound like before I purchased.... Also was able to install the D cut ride plate- needless to say so far I love it can definitely tell a huge difference going from a R&D Extended ride plate to this! We did have one hiccup that I am pissed about... early this year I purchased a blowsion billet fuel pickup, and upon moving stuff for the waterbox replacement I notice that one of the pressed in brass barbs was loose/coming out... it literally only has 5 hrs of ride time on it... then I noticed that the blocked off barb is spinning in the housing as well!!! not very happy right now as I should have gone with the cold fusion pickup setup(threaded barbs).... I am still waiting on a response from blowsion on how they are going to remedy this... I'm half tempted to just buy the cold fusion one from

Alright! Let get started! But first Cheers to anyone I have purchased parts from or have received advice from. This includes Chris @ JetManiac(The man, The Myth, The Legend) for nearly 90% of these parts and answering a bunch of my stupid questions, Freestyle 650 @ Epic for the great Billet couplers and customer service, and SmittySX for the "already started to modify for SN" Front Foothold... This one is for you!

I'm probably forgetting something but you get the picture....

To start out this "Frame off Restoration", I've decided to have a couple pieces powder coated and others reanodized to better flow with the new paint scheme. Also had a bunch of items to modify for aesthetics and some for function.

                      Modification To Do List:
                      - Fuel door delete/ one piece nose
                      - Yamaslut Hood Modifications
                      - Fix/replace steering cable thru hull fitting(thank god the foam is still dry)
                      - Modify Front foot hold for storage box and trimmed for a SN
                      - Modify pump and exhaust manifold for dual cooling
                      - Clean up AC handle pole welds
                      - Clean Bilge and coat in Bilge coating/paint
                      - Clean/repaint engine to match color scheme

Upon slight disassembly for paint and new part install, found seal or crankcase gasket leak in flywheel cover area... Decided to reseal the entire engine.. awaiting OEM Seals and gaskets to properly do job. After resealed it will be getting a lightened flywheel installed, along with some epic billet couplers.

Only hint I will give on the color scheme is it will still be my colors of white, black and yellow/gold and will still have factory decals to an extent. My goal on any of my builds is to have people think it came from the factory that way. Stay tuned for more updates!

Split the case, checked all the bearings and crank- all in good condition.. cleaned all up and relubed proper locations.. Crank Case resealed and new OEM Crank seals installed.... Awaiting a new base gaskets to come in to replace that then all gaskets have been replaced... This 701 is cleaning up pretty nicely... Bendix looks to be in great shape still...

Here is a little peak of some goodies from JetManiac:

and a little test fit of this gorgeous billet flywheel cover!

Also Installed OCD Solutions Tidy bilge Harness in the ebox (highly recommend any of his products if you are a perfectionist like I am).. notice his surf armor battery cables I purchased a while ago from him as well.

QUESTION... upon converting stock siphon bilge to second cooling line, i'm pretty sure ill need a restrictor in the second pisser line, correct me if i'm wrong... pic for reference: (note Midwest temps so 65-80 degrees water temps.)

You could but I don't think it is necessary. I like to run a line from the pump to the manifold and the other from the pump to the headpipe. Basically making 2 separate circuits, but that's just me.

So I believe that's what they call parallel cooling setup(ive been researching this **** too much! haha) so u have 1st pump line to manifold(only drilled/tapped for 1 barb?), then where do your 2 cooling lines off the head go(to 2 separate pissers?).. second pump line I understand.. from pump to bottom of head pipe, top of headpipe to "T" to pisser/ stinger...

I appreciate all the insight... your weather/water temps are probably very close to mine.... what temps are you looking for at cylinders(140 degrees?), Waterbox(130ish), and Bpipe chamber(water sizzle test?)
