Re: 1990 Square Nose SuperJet Build

To be honest I need to check to see if it even has an after-market one already in it. what do you recommend for ompeller or is it depending on certain mods on your ski?

If you're on a budget, a stock blaster 1 prop works well. Well enough for $30 but you will get some cavitation.

Any stainless aftermarket impeller will be a major improvement. Impeller pitch and brand are kind of personal preference depending what you want the ski to perform like. Solas YB-CD Concord 14/18 13/17 is a good all around option.

Are you implying that 701 motors are not "tanks"? because they are.. your 650 is not any more or less reliable than a 701. It's also a power lacking waste of time.

You need the short block, exhaust manifold, intake.. that's it. I bet you could do it for 500 or close to it.

If price is a non-issue, there is 0 reason to stay with a 650.

Well you were pretty close.... complete engine minus exhaust(came out of a vxr pro) .. comes with ebox and even carb... 150/150 compression = asking $550 plus shipping

still trying to figure out how much shipping will be..

also found this in the for sale section.... Is $500 a good price for this or should i look around some more? What is the 2" welded in extension for?

As long as stuff is clean and you have the cash, I say it's worth the money all day long especially if you plan on doing more modding.

The 2" is supposed to be for extra low end but I've never ran a pipe like that without the added section so I have nothing to compare it to. Either way, you'll like the power I'm sure.

If I did go with the protec mach 1 exhaust, would I need to replace anything else to run it? I know i will have to rejet the carb but would i need a girdled head or anything else?
