Prop for superjet lites boat or intake grate issue?

I wanted some input on what prop to run for an 08+ lites boat. Currently I have a stock blaster 1 prop in there which actually does the job very very well for a $30 prop... on flat water. It just sucks in very rough water when I need it to work the most. Basically the ski won't stay planted in the straights and I'm trying to attribute that to the crappy stock prop I'm running now because it is by far the biggest shortcoming of my ski at the moment.

I hopped on a different lites superjet yesterday and compared them back to back, mine was not even close. The other guys handled like an SXR plowing through the chop pretty easily. I was also thinking that it could be because he was running a watercross of texas intake grate... I really need to try one of these to compare to my jet dynamics. Also he had prowatercraft front sponsons which I could see increasing drag, thus keeping the front end down a bit. Both skis were running the prowatercraft ride plate.

I was thinking about the new YQ-CD 12/18 Concord.

Yes, Solas Concord for the 08-later is an awesome impeller in ALL super Jets. Available here, and we can blueprint as well.

The impeller depends on which cylinder you are using.

I suppose it does. Forgot to include that, it's not the correct motor because I built the 2014 hull from a squarenose. 61x motor single carb.

The 12/18 is too tall for a lites application especially a 61x engine.
I also don't recommend blue printing the pump as stated above because it is not legal for that class.

My shop has a lites package that works well. Shoot me a pm if you need to get setup.

Unfortunately if you want a competitive Lites boat you will need to upgrade more than just the impeller.

I understand and it's okay, I'm not racing the national tour, just some regional racing. Just looking for the best bang for my buck. I do have 62t cases on the shelf, though.

If you stop racing you will have extra money to spend on your ski. That's the best bang for the buck.

    Ok..Thanks for the input..?

Just being realistic, I don't see having to spend $900+ to run a 760 top end, switch to 62t bottom, ignition, just to gain 3 or 4 mph. Not worth it to me at the moment, maybe some day. The pro-am guys destroy me on the course, but that has 10% to do with how fast my ski is. They typically send novice lites and limited together and I pull holeshots on all the limited skis but one, consistently. Much more worried about hookup and handling at this point.

I'm probably going to switch to a stock 08+ prop, go from there.
