    Dreaded code 25 on 2005 F12X with135 hours

    Hi,

As my title says, I have "the code". I've read everything I can find here, but still not clear. Do I chance it and replace the knock sensor or go straight to a new ECM?

Lastly, where is the best place to purchase either or both?

Anyway to borrow an ECM to determine if that's the issue?

    thanks

Reach out to Jetski International for advice and parts. Do a search in this forum. If are willing to drive to Richmond with the ski, you can try my ECU and/or knock sensor.

Jet Ski International has great information on their site on the dreaded 25 code and I talked to Brian there as well. Says well over 90% of the time its the ECM. So I have mine ordered. I thought worse case scenario, if mine is not bad, its inevitable that it will be. So I started with the ECM and will go to the knock sensor if I am in the very low %. He did say they would test the ECM for $100 if you send it in. Again, my thought was on a 13 yr old ski (2005 model but only 30 hrs) I am going to need it some day anyway, put the $100 towards the part!

Just go to http://jetskisint.com/ and search your year and model of your ski, cause they all different ecm.
