A full week in Disney World kinda killed the progress. But, I had today to play a little bit.
So, I went straight to it....the one thing I've been stressing about for months...Is the motor gonna fit without hull mods?
Hell yeah! it does.
I set the hood on and it just touched the yellow oil cap. So no hull mods, just an oil cap mod.
The exhaust side has about 3 1/2" clearance to the hull. the intake side has 1 1/2" at the front and about 2 1/2" at the rear. So side to side is good.
Behind the motor, lots of room. Will easily accommodate a nice size waterbox and a device I want to try. Front, plenty of room for everything that goes up there.
You guys can imagine the stress that was lifted off me today. A lot of dollars invested, and not knowing a 100% if the motor would actually fit? Brush that off.....on to the next....

@ beerdart.....I promise I'll check next time I pull it out. But I'm going to mock up all the other stuff first. Gas tank, electrical brackets, exhaust and waterbox.

Finally getting back to work on this thing.
This last month and a half has been hectic...all weekends were booked and its been completely swamped at work. Don't want to complain, though.
Fabbed up exhaust tonight. Waiting on replies from Riva techs on what to do with water box....does the motor like back pressure or not...is the question??
Once I decide on the water box internals, then I'll weld on the new endcaps, that I traced out of the old ones...
You can see I had to go to a much smaller diameter. I think its at about 5" now.

I put the rest of the tubes in, today after work.
Left side....bottom=trim, middle=steering, top=3rd water input.
Right side....bottom=auto bilge, middle and top=1st and 2nd water input.
I bought all the OEM steering fittings, brackets and compression nuts....makes life easier.

This is very interesting!!!! THanks for sharing!!! Question cant you do the same thing as the spark like removable topdeck to bondline? So the whole top deck always gets out of the way.
