Water test today...at least on the top half...ha
Love the Summer rains in Reno!

Well, I'm pretty close to the right height with the stand-offs and inserts, now.
Just need a straight rod to line it all up...then glue and fiberglass in.

    She's all lined up!!

Had to angle the pump down about 2* (1/8" spacer at back of pump) to meet the motor drive output. no biggie, I have various degree pump wedges to compensate.

The Spark motor does have a lot of distance from the crank to the bottom of the oil pan. I'm clearing the bottom of the hull by about 3/8".
It looks like its clearing more by these pics, but its not. This is what the cardboard template were for....

One more nice option I designed in...is by changing the motor mount plates I can move the engine forward or back +/- four inches.
Dirt Tricks, one of our sponsors, can make me a few different length drive shafts, if needed. No need for a seadoo/kawi hybrid driveshaft either.
The seadoo splines fit dead perfect in the kawi impeller! Bonus!!

Great work! Is there going to be enough room in there to add turbo if needed? You know you will want it for a little more hp....Lol!

@ dano7....Turbo...Maybe??? It would be a tight squeeze. Let's see what a torquey 110hp does first?

Motor mount bases, lined up and glassed in. Firewall/bulkhead epoxied in on lower hull.

Next on the list..... steering tube, trim tube, 3 cooling tubes, and 1 auto bilge tube. Also, 1 exhaust tube.
I will glass in a driveline tube, from the pump tunnel, through the bulkhead to utilize the Spark OEM driveline seal set up.

Re: PROJECT SXR / 900ace (thread redo)

A full week in Disney World kinda killed the progress. But, I had today to play a little bit.
So, I went straight to it....the one thing I've been stressing about for months...Is the motor gonna fit without hull mods?
    Hell yeah! it does.

I set the hood on and it just touched the yellow oil cap. So no hull mods, just an oil cap mod.

The exhaust side has about 3 1/2" clearance to the hull. the intake side has 1 1/2" at the front and about 2 1/2" at the rear. So side to side is good.
Behind the motor, lots of room. Will easily accommodate a nice size waterbox and a device I want to try. Front, plenty of room for everything that goes up there.

You guys can imagine the stress that was lifted off me today. A lot of dollars invested, and not knowing a 100% if the motor would actually fit? Brush that off.....on to the next....

How much does the complete motor weigh?
