Free style question about a SXR converted into an 1100 motor.

I'm shopping for a ski I can have some fun with, not into racing, I live on a lake, just want to play around, get a good work out and do some jumps, maybe a back flip if I'm lucky enough to figure out.

Would a SXR that has an 1100 motor work for this type of fun? The current owner, says its set up for racing and will over over 60mph, and has a trim kit but its set up to trim nose down, not up, but current own said I can change clip and change trim to go up? Does that sound correct.

Will I ruin the hull of an SXR with 1100 in it if I just start jumping it off lake/boat waves with the trim set up? Will the power/weight of motor allow for such fun. Sorry if these seem like dumb questions

also, what do you guys/gals think a reasonable price for a SXR with an 1100? any advice would be appreciate, just moved to a lake, use to ride stock stand up's growing up, 650's, unmodded, so, I really don't know much about mod's and skis these days...

Just looking to have some fun... thx in advance to any answers and advice, much appreciated!!!!

Sounds like you want a Superjet. The SXR is going to be faster and easy(er) to ride then a Superjet, but not at all what you are looking for. You will also need to go to the ocean and hit a huge wave if you ever want to flip the SXR.

6 grand and up is the going rate for an sxr1100.

Quinc is right, that does not sound like the ski for you.

1100's and freestyle do not mix, you are adding weight to an already heavy a$$ hull, just the opposite of what you want for freestyle.

Thanks for the replies, I didn't know if the 1100 had the power and thrust with a trim kit to overcome the weight issue... That's why I asked... Pricing, sounds like I could pick it up around 5500, so it seems like a fair price...

I was wondering if the 1100 had the power to make it fun, with a trim kit?

I was being a di46. The freestyle skis are twins, not tripples, cutting down weight, but upping the frequency of rebuilds. They run high comp., and large displacement, not making life easy for the crank.

I was taking a jab at WFO....

edit: For $5500.00 without seeing it, or knowing about it, it sounds good, but it sure as fuk is NOT going to do what you want it to.

Will it be fast ,hell yes, will you be able to jump it, off Niagara falls maybe, will it backflip or barrel roll, not a chance in hell.
