    2 strokes on powell

So I know this comes up from time to time. But has anyone been on Powell this year with two strokes? And have you gotten any flak for it? I'm heading down there in a few weeks (Whaweap) and was wondering if it would be worth it to take my skis.

I would take them down, they will not bug you unless you causing problem, according to rangers.

    Do I have a chance?

Just tell them " I don't know, it's a four stroke. Look, that's where the oil goes...."

    Re: 2 strokes on powell

I went to Powell last 4th of July and brought my Wet Jet. I added a "Direct Fuel Injection" sticker to the hood but that wasn't even needed.

The college intern at the boat launch will inform you that 2 strokes are banned and if she is one of the smart ones, may ask if you put oil in the gas. Simply deny, deny, deny and that's pretty much it.

When you pull it, there is a quaggie muscle inspection where they just want you to pull plugs and drain the boat. No one asks what engine you have then.
1993 Laser Jet F15 - Mild port to PJS Cylinder.
1992 550 SX - R&R port Kawi Reed, Kind of fast.
    1989 JS 550 - PJS motor Dual 46's, 50 MPH on GPS.
    1989 Wet Jet - Upgraded 1994 50 HP motor & exhaust.
1986 JS 550 - Engine built. Working on fiberglass!
    1976 JS 400 - Pretty much just a shell.
