    If on the hose the first thing I would check out is the baffle under left foot well.

    98s didn't come with a baffle 99+ did

    Block the hose from the main line running from a T fitting to the exhaust water valve
    Now you can connect the hose and turn the it on without running the engine and as well not filling the engine exhaust system with water
    Now you can hear where it is coming in from,you should be able to find it quickly now

    I figured I'd update this thread since I found where the water was entering the hull from.
    It was my mistake, it wasn't leaking from the pipe hoses, pipe to exh., upper crank case hose. I installed the 97.5 grey deck gsxl base gasket, knowing it didn't fit, I cut the section for the dowel to make it fit and on the hose the water was spraying from the corner of the gasket where I cut for the dowel.
    I also removed the rear resonator/silencer while waiting for the new base gasket and it was much easier to tear apart the foam while the pipe/carbs and cylinder was out.
