When I use a driver to do what you said nothing happens. When I jump it straight from the battery to the top post of that box next to the battery the engine turns but very slow.

You must check your grounding connections as well, a loose ground connection gives the same symptoms as a loose positive.

It's the neighbors ski and he's about 60 so I was trying to help out. I told him to send it to the shop and let them play with it because I can't figure it out. I'll post what the problem was when it comes back in a couple days.

The shop said all they did was replace the plugs. They said the plugs were bad. Not fouled but actually faulty...
charged my neighbor 550$ and he flipped, they worked it down by a hundred and some change but that's still highway robbery.

The supercharged skis tend to eat a set of plugs every 20-30 hours.

im calling BS!, there is no way the spark plugs can cause the symptoms you quoted , maybe ? it was rusted up in the bores and they sprayed some WD 40 in the plug holes and it freed up ???? . or they simply found the bad ground ???

I mean, you can call BS all you want.
Why would a shop tell you they only did a certain amount of work but in reality did more?

When I asked them what they did they said they changed out the battery( I tried 3, two brand new , known good batteries, and a charged used one) he said after he did that he was able to get it started so he took it out.
He told me it only went 35 and he couldn't get it to go any faster.
He ordered spark plugs, replaced them, ran the ski and he said it ran fine after that.
Take it for what you will/want. If they did more to fix it the issue they didn't mention it.
I'm pretty confident in the shop because I live less than a mile away and I ride and drink with one of the mechs.
