    Djsa 2017?

I purchased a ski for the 567 Vintage Class last fall and kind of bummed to find out we have only two races in the Nor Cal area through Jet Jam, Reno in June and and Mossdale in August.

Just checking if Jim has officially retired and not putting any races on for 2017?

I wish he would do a few. So-Cal / Havasu is way to far for us. We would have to take 2 extra days off just to drive.

Lake Ming is in Bakersfield, CA an additional 3 hrs from Mossdale and MUCH MUCH nicer!
Kingsburg is Just south of Fresno an additional 1.5 from Mossdale and will have SPECTATORS also NICER!

If the area (NORCAL) represents this year, There are a few more spots that were visited this past winter that are interested in having the JetJam series. Show support this season, new venues ( SWEET SWEET NEW ONES) in 2018!

Going to support the best we can Doug. Just tough for 4 of us all working different places to get a 4 day weekend off to travel that far every month. Nor-cal and of course Sparks isnt a problem.

            Totally worth it tho

The 567 was a fun class. At Pittsburg last September Jim said he was holding onto the equipment, so maybe......

I plan on dragging the 550's to as many of the JetJam races as I can, except Havasu.

No, sorry to say I wont make it. I sold the stock X2 and the open X2 is next, although it wont be the full blown open boat as originally planned. Everything 2 stroke is going the same route, I am going in a different direction.

Someone used the term "INACTIVE" on the threads here... (was that a wildthang quote?...hi Cheng)
I'm tired of being inactive and it sounds like many of you are too.
My absence has been personal in nature and I apologize for the inactivity on the threads. Couldn't be helped my friends.

Something new is brewing for next year and I assure you you'll all have plenty of buoys to run.
As far as this year goes, we got talked into doing an exhibition only run at the Seafood Festival in Pittsburg this weekend, and we will be holding a 2 day last chance IJSBA qualifier at Salt Springs Valley Reservoir the following weekend on the 16th and 17th.

Regarding Pittsburg, the info is posted in a thread here and on facebook (djsa).

Heard a rumor the 550 class has totally taken off this year ~ so I ask ~ "why you guys gotta wait till the year I can't watch it??" jes sayin ~ seriously and really...

tell you what, Kurt Knollenberg is going to be calling the shots letting the spectators know who you guys are and what you do.. hoping a few guys like Habel and his SCXP buddys can put on a few demos of what fast really looks like but to show the peeps where it all started, if we get enough of the vintage nation to show up we'll dedicate a special $$$ race just for you guys.

All I need is names and classes. email me if you're in.
No entry fees at this one.

Miss you guys - hope we do something about that soon...
