    Kawasaki 1100 v 900 pipe

Is the Kawasaki 900 pipe exactly the same as the 1100 ? Is their any performance differences. I have an 1100 manifold and main body but only have a 900 top section and don't want to use it if it is down on power.

I believe the diameters are different, but don't have them to measure. The 900 pipe would restrict flow unless modified. On my ZXi1100 mutant, I actually grabbed a DI manifold + pipe sections (larger volume) and DI exhaust muffler, and did stage 1/2 mods to the manifold runners (opened those runners up 2mm and elbow 3mm) and a 1" hole in back baffle of exhaust muffler..... huge difference in grunt, especially when coupled with Jetworks flow control stinger mod....

Totally different. 900 pipe is shorter, smaller inlet and outlet and much less volume. The headpipe is much smaller as well. There were some modded 900 chambers floating around a while back, but they didn't work well, no bottom and very pipey in the mid.

We have found the same in our testing here. Stick with an 1100 pipe, and dry it out.

    Simon,

Ebay is the best place to find them. Also, I always look for parts in the middle of the US, that way it is very unlikely they have been used in salt water.

    Good luck in the search,
    Scottie

hi tech rocket science! testing the difference in power between the 900 and 1100 chamber , i wonder if the techs at watevercons hooked up the bench flow place divert-er combined with the ram air micrometer to do the testing ,

why don't you lay off of it for a while.i fully support the 1st amendment but sometimes your comments have no common thread with the topic at hand.
i understand you have gripes with some members here but geez! let it go once in a while.

That part I don't get is why he chooses members like MCN6 and Zig to bag on, if it was someone like the Rad Dudes I could probably understand.
