This is might some [poorly proofread/translated] Kawasaki marketing, but this dealership posted it: http://www.kawasakiofuniversalcity.c...ail&id=2727174

What have they been smoking?

1) when I first saw it, like everyone, I thought, what a joke. Not a stand up
2) Once I got in the tray, I realized the ski feels half it's size when you are on it, one of the reasons the ski looks huge s because the hull is sooooo tall
3) Quiet. This is a plus for me. The older I get, the less attractive triples with free flow boxes are
4) idles perfect, no carb adjusting, winner
5) the one I rode was completely, 100% stock motor and handling other than an RRP pole, seems like to me, ski isn't worth having with a stock pole.
6) Ski has pretty dang awesome power, even in stock, unflashed state
7) 60plus never felt easier on a ski
8) stock turns great, just don't let off the throttle going into a turn or she will roll over like the titanic
Overall, my first impression, sucked. I would buy one tomorrow if my knees were better. I was more than impressed with the ski. I will get a chance to ride a few more set up for closed course in the coming months, so I will report back then.

Scottie is right on with this ski. I did the demo ride Kawasaki had at the World finals in Havasu and got to ride it for about 40 mins......I really liked it alot! It surprised me how fast & smooth & quiet it was in a stock state....Ski handled well & it does have a big feel at 1st, but once you get comfortable on it you do not notice the size as much......Kudos to Kawasaki for re-investing in the stand up market!!
Some things I would like to see Kawasaki add on from the factory...
1) If we have to keep the stock pole, at least make the sub plate/ turn plate adjustable so you can move bars forward or back per rider pref...Like TBMs plate/Stud kit for the SXR 800.
2) Have turf on top of gunnels to be easier on the arms & for easier starts.....Like JetTrims & Hydro-Turfs kits.
3) Add a digital tach/hr. meter on the handle pole... Both needed to monitor performance & service intervals.
4) They should get with R&D & have them supply the foam for under the engine... If you drop or loose a bolt, I don't like the idea the it could wear thru the oil pan causing damage or failure.
5) I think every ski should have a manual electric Rule 500 gph bilge.... One time i got around 10 feet of rope wrapped on driveshaft. It was an anchor line for a marker buoy that was missing in the middle of the lake. Working to get rope out, the ski was taking on water. If i didn't have an electric bilge, i would of swamped the ski.
6) Adjustable rear sponsons.
7) Have a programmer for 3 or 4 different ignition maps. From beginner to pro maps. This is alot of hp for a beginner rider......
8) Offer the 310R Supercharger as an option....LOL....Never happen but can you imagine.....
I will be getting one of these in the next year or so. Want to see if Yamaha steps up & get a new stand up out....Will have to buy one of each then...

Dano 7[/QUOTE] FYI Yamaha is not developing any thing new as far as stand ups go......... Hell they used the same motor (slow) for over 20 years.

I have heard it from a trusted source. Excited to see what the Yamaha option will be like. Hope they prioritize lightness and fun over matching the 1500ccs though. I gotta get my 1100 SJ build done.. give this new Yamaha a real challenge.
