2006 Kawasaki STX 15f warning light

I've got a 15f that the guage cluster that has gone bad so I can't see what the warning light is indicating. It will come on pretty soon after starting the engine. I don't feel it's a temp warning whereas the entire exhaust system is cool and the head is very warm but not so hot I can't lay my hand flat on it for about 2 sec. I have also unplugged the exhaust and block sensors and the light remained on.
Any recommendations on finding out what the warning is or does anybody know where a good guage cluster is for sale?
    Thanks,

possibly a charge system warning / does it stop squawking when you rev the engine up a bit ?

No, I meant to say earlier I tested the charging system and it seems to be working correctly. I put a meter on battery and when engine is running the voltage goes up and when I rev it, it gets around 13v.

yea , cant help much here , not much you can do without either the gauge cluster , a trip to Kawasaki dealer for diagnostic or a time consuming process of elimination of systems ,

Yeah, I told my bud here he will probably have to take it to dealer and have them hook up to it and have them read diagnosis

It could be as simple as telling you it is low on fuel because it can't read the fuel sensor???

Yep, I think that's all it was. I found a gauge on ebay and everything is good now. Thanks
