At Avalon, I refueled 11 gallons of 15 total. I was VERY surprised at how much I used by just going easy!

So, yes, you use MUCH more fuel than you think you do riding in the open ocean.

EDIT - I've also run the 6 Hr. 300 Mi. race back in the day before it became the, may he R.I.P., Mark Hahn Memorial 300 at Salton Sea, CA. and I got WAY better fuel mileage on an inland body of water. Fuel stops were every hour(11 gal. refuel or I wouldn't make it around the course back to the refueling area and be floating dead in the water).

I used the blue ski in my avatar.
The volume of the fuel tank of a jet ski is small, it is not surprising that regular refueling is needed to cover a long distance. Still, it is more likely not a vehicle, but a means of entertainment and for the work of rescuers in the coastal area.

    Yes. Very sad…

A friend of mine sent me the link to this unfortunate accident.

I wish that I never had to post it. But safety and maintenance should always be in the forefront of everything. No matter if you are a first time owner or rider or a seasoned veteran.
