    How are the Honda's?

Just wondering how the Honda's are in comparison to other manufacturers....I've seen a few that seem cheap. I know all of the big names have problems...how how does the Honda rank. Once broken can I work on it (I do have some skills)?

The hulls are built well. Strong and thick. I'd say seadoo is stronger than Yamaha.

Not perticulary fast, compared to other manufactures. Handle ok. The ecu' s go bad. Engines seem built well.

If you can find a good used one for reasonable cost, I'd say get it.

They need to have corrosion control maintained but get the best gas mileage of any PWC. With very few places to get fuel anymore, they are much more fun. Mine cruise for 3 hours long at 50+ MPH and get 6 MPG.

Top end fast or 0-60 first? Because the R-12x beats a lot of skis (even some of the 215hp stuff) to 60mph even with a much heavier rider.

The top placers in the Long beach to Catalina going back as far as I can recall have all run turbos. Honda was decades ahead with this setup IMO.

Wonderful 'ski's. Factor in ~ $850 for a new ECM, unless the seller can prove that he or she has already installed a new one. A used one don't cut it cuz they fail from age, not from use.

Bought my F12X new in '05, it was a leftover '04 model. Ran entirely in saltwater as that's pretty much all we have here. Been dead reliable the whole way.
I wouldn't say it's the fastest thing out there, but as a GT cruiser you can't loose. Excellent long ride machine.

The ECM on my '06 F12 crapped on this past Thursday, pretty much on schedule. Good thing I already had a new one on hand. My bud's 'O5 F12X (whcih he bought new in '05) crapped (ECM) in the same spot on the Flint river, just below Bainbridge, GA, the week before. And my '05 F12X crapped (ECM) last year in the Santa Fe River, near Branford, FL.

I'm not sayin' anyone is about due I'm just sayin'.
