Anybody else having problems with download speed the last several days? With both internet explorer and chrome it is literally up to five minutes per page to download... I am not having a problem anywhere else, only on PWCToday.

Re: Extremely Slow Download
It has been fine for me in the past few days. No problems in the last few months either. I just opened a PWCT hosted image of ~3MB and it took 25 seconds -- typical for me on the fairly slow connection I am using right now. It was this "Big Bear" tailstand image: http://www.pwctoday.com/showthread.p...=1#post4015505Riding mostly Lake Austin

Now if I can just remember this fix for the next time it happens

Re: Extremely Slow Download
Doing it again with Chrome, IE and Edge browsers and clearing cookies is not fixing it this time... I am not even sure it is a browser issue? It is only a problem with PWCToday and one other site as far as I can tell and it is becoming frustrating to say the least.sigpic

Re: Extremely Slow Download
...guess you gotta cut down on the elicit websites you've been frequenting.
Barnyardgurls, hugeandjiggly, and daddyissues are NOT the type of sites that will do anything good for your computer.
Just saying.I'm only here to make you mad
I'll tell your girl you said "hi".

If you can run IE or Edge then you are running Windows. Don't use Windows. Problem solved.Riding mostly Lake Austin

Nope, I get my porn from here if that tells you anything! Nothing like a fresh bottom end a girdled head assembly and set of big carbs...

Re: Extremely Slow Download
? is it just locking up on chrome , what you need to do is clear your cookies again , check how much data is in your cache in the box screen where you clear cookies) make sure that box is ticked so as you clear the cache when you clean up the disc, next go to>windows symbol in lower left hand corner on screen > in the box "search programs and files " type in > disk defragmenter > in that window check the box de fragment disk , this should get your computer freed up a bit ,,once done configure a scheduled so as it automatically de fragments each day,, it seem that one or more of the sites you frequent is storing large amounts of cookie data in your computer , so once you clean it up , open the sites you frequent one at a time , leave them open (one at a time ) for an hour or so and see if your computer slows ,you will soon weed out the suspect site ,and you can easily stop the site from storing cookies ,, sometimes faceless book stores huge amounts of cookies unless you block the site from storing cookies on your computer ,Last edited by hyosung; 07-08-2016, 02:36 PM.http://www.pwctoday.com/showthread.php?t=425767

Re: Extremely Slow Download
The problem is with all the browsers I have (IE, edge and chrome). I did what you suggested and everything checks out with the problem still not fixed. Clearing cookies worked like a charm the first time, but the fix only lasted a few days and now clearing cookies does nothing.
Maybe it is a windows 10 thing? I noticed a "report website problems" in the tools tab where the problem website address is forwarded with a description of the issue to MS. I will try that I guess???sigpic
