    Kawasaki 701 X2

    Hi All,

I just finished my KAWI 701 X2 build this weekend and when I went to install the stock airbox/flame arrestor it's hitting my hull support(anyone else have this issue and how did you correct)? Im thinking I might be able to slide the motor up a smidge as their is still some wiggle room but will what give me too much slop at the drive shaft? (I'm using the RHASS brackets).

I know AM arrestors will work......

Looks like you have a 62t air box. Using two 61x boxes may work.

Edit: forgot they don't work on 38's. If its on the end grind it down a little. Wont hurt anything to have a small hole. Looks like you dont need much.

Yeah, I'd either go AM, or grind that corner off and fill with some JB weld.

    thanks guys!

no one has had this issue?

i'll look at it again tonight after work but I might be able to just file down the plastic cover as suggested.

my other thought was to just use a band saw and cut the entire height of the airbox down by .25" or so.

Take the brace out and get a surf brace. Ryskis sells them pretty cheap. IMG_0802.JPG

I just had to do this with the stock 750 twice carb airbox, but a left side brace and put it on that side. little modifications and it bolts right in and you retain bracing. just finished my flatdeck 750sp swap last weekend and that's what I did
js550 with 650 swap custom wrap
    x2 750 swap flat deck
