Anyone still riding out of Hampton in the surf? I'm looking to get some rides in with a group.

    Re: Riding in NH

I live in Chester, NH and am in the process of buying a stand-up (likely an SX-R). Are there any groups (either official or unofficial) that get together to ride either fresh water or surf around here? Seems like in So. NH the only lakes that allow riding are Bow Lake, Great Pond and Winnisquam if you go a bit farther North. Any experience riding these lakes or elsewhere in So. NH?

I've ridden Gregg Lake in Antrim NH, that is the only lake near me that allows "ski craft" besides the rivers

That's about 1:15 from my house. Not too bad. I've also found that Pleasant Lake and Northwood Lake closer to me allow them too.

Do you know of any groups in SNH that get together to ride? If you're ever a bit farther East and want to meet up, let me know. I've got an SX-R now and it would be cool to find someone else to learn from.

I have a zxi "2 seater evil skicraft" I was riding a tiny pond last year but this year I went to great pond in Kingston as the little pond was overcrowded with yaks and rowboats.

Technically I don't think great lake allows skicraft but... I will go there until I get kicked out. I live ~ 3 minutes from great pond.

You weren't out on great pond a week after the fourth were you? I saw someone out on a standup for a bit.

I can't say this enough. As everybody on this forum and on the Facebook pages love to ride. Please please please please please please please only ride where you're allowed to. Lakes and ponds get shut down all the time. It's hard enough as it is to find a place to ride. The landowners on the water are the first to complain. And they will immediately call Marine Patrol and then the homeowners association and that's when s*** will hit the fan. Beginning of the season I was having some conversations with the Marine Patrol Sergeant regarding registering a unique watercraft. We started talking about stand-ups. His patience is super super thin with them. Solely for the reason that you stated above. Not following regulations Weatherby where to ride or more importantly how to ride. I'm not trying to be all self-righteous and arrogant, but for the benefit of our Riding community please follow the rules

I know for a fact that pwc's are allowed on great pond. I am not sure about 2 seaters. There are a few homeowners on the lake with pwc's.
