Do you have any other Weascoast RC parts... Intake manifold perhaps? What is in the photos along side?
    Thanks!

    Re: Westcoast RC-520 club

So I took out the new RC520 yesterday to begin top end break in and it was an absolute tuning nightmare. Before I took it out it had a very easy start, idle, and about 1/4" throttle jab on the stand in the garage. I figured I would dial the rest of the tuning in the water on the trailer. Once I had it in the water this completely changed. It would only start with primer, the idle was extremely high, and the throttle was running away from me. Once about half throttle I would let off and the ski would continue to rev up. This leads me to believe there's an air leak. Did new cranks seals a season and a half ago, but should probably leak down test the whole motor I suppose. I'm running dual SBN 38's with 2.0 needle/seat, shiny silver spring for 18psi pop off, and 65 low jets with 107.5 high jets @ 4,000ft elevation. Was a disappointing day, but just wanted to see if anyone might have additional input? Thanks -Bryce

As a starting point for testing your jetting sounds reasonable for the elevation. Sounds a lot like an air leak, but before pressure testing verify that the carbs are synched and that throttle cable, throttle plates, throttle shafts and shaft coupler/linkages are operating correctly and not binding or sticking.

An air leak could be anywhere from case half seal to carburetor base gasket or cylinder base gasket??
