Bryce you may want to consider running a full pipe and 440 pump.
I tried a 1/2 pipe on mine and for what little I gained on bottom I lost twice as much on top.
The SX pump you may lose up to 1000 rpms vs a 440 pump.
These motors like to scream. SX pump and 1/2 pipes are better suited to the lower rpm PP and SX 550 motor.

This is just what ive learned since riding mine. I knew the 1/2 pipe was wrong as soon as I rode the ski.
I wanted to try the 550 SX or larger 750 pump but my engine builder talked me out of it. Still would be fast but you would be leaving alot of performance on the table.
Im in mammoth and Cliff from Gville told me about you. Im sure we will probably bump into each other this summer at Topaz or Dub

Hey man, yeah rode with Cliff all last summer! Great dude! Topaz is our home. I had a ripping ‘90 SX piston port, and got a smoking deal on this entire set up. I’m really just looking for a super strong low to mid range hit, and decent top end. Not looking to race, but my piston port was hitting 44 mph so a mild increase over that I’m okay with. I’d have to find a new hull to run a 440 pump, and I’m already out some money so it’s all in experimenting stage. Lol. Appreciate the input though. I still need to send out for boring, piston machining, and so on. It’s all part of the fun, I’m just worried about getting dual carbs synched and dialed. Haven’t crossed that path yet on a 550 yet. Cheers man

I'd stick with a 44mm single if you are looking for low end hit. My setup was with a Coffman 1/2 pipe and duals and it has a nice mid range hit but the 44sbn made better low end. Oh, and I was running a 440 pump with a 15.5 skat.
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Hmm okay interesting. I do have a brand new SBN 44mm I would love to give a shot first, but issue is the single manifold. Anyone possibly have a single intake manifold they would let go of?

Single 44mm intakes are getting pretty scarce, but that would be a good choice if you find one. If you do end up going with the dual 38's, for that elevation I would start with 110 mains, 60 pilots and something like 15psi pop off and tune from there.

Think I have a couple single carb intakes from Lazerjet F14's
I am running dual 44's by Sudco and a 440 pump with 15.5 Skat
Idles great and pulls all the way to the top with a 2500 pipe

Hey, guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but my friend has a 550 PJS reed cylinder t-300? Something like that.
Anyway, he trying to see what its worth and if he should sell it or just leave it on his mantle lol.
    Any Ideas?
