DNR hangs out at the boy scout launch usually 4pm or later on weekends. they sit there and watch the boats with binoculars to identify infractions. If you come to the dock while they are there they will check your safety equip and registration, as well as ticket you for anything you did while they where watching with binoculars.

Also, the parking lot at boy scout island booth is completely unmonitored except 8am to about 5pm on weekends. The girls working the booth will charge you $10 for st. charles residents and $20 for nonresidents to launch your boats while they are there. The parking lot usually fills up about 4pm.

South of the ramp about 50 yards there is a couple pebbly beaches where you can beach you pwc and eat lunch on the grass or stairs or picnic table. There was a lot of trash, I picked it all up, please keep it clean. Short walk from there to portapotty and trashcans.

There are 3 white buoys by the launch. South of them is all no wake zone until the dam. East of the third buoy is only like a foot deep, stay on the west side of it.

I ride there with stage as much as I can as well. Boy Scout launch in you have a standup or lucky to purswade them I used to get away with not paying to launch ski or pwc cuz the lot was full. And parked across the street. But Sean knows a better spot and better area to chill. Best hit him up for a fun spot to ride or some one hit me up and I'll come.

Good thing I don't launch there anymore. That problem and Seans got a sweet spot. I do like going there set up a chair and a beer and watch people try to launch and retrieve there machines. It's always a good show
