    Fox river St. Charles

Looking for other areas to ride..How the fox in St. Charles compare to Illinois river. I can only find a couple small drop in areas. Doesn't seem like alot of parking..

o.k. Where's the best place to drop and park? I imagine that boyscout area filling up quickly. What are the DNR boys doing? Just checking tags and such or are they pulling people over for other stuff like using the buoys for slalom racing. LOL Looking for other place to ride, not get tickets.

I'll let you know when we go. We/I usually go during the week. I just replaced the head on the ski and found out that the pipe had come loose. I was richening it up to get rid of this high rpm hesitation. Turns out pipe was loose. So I have some tuning to do before I get really ripping it up.

The fox river in St. Charles is my local riding spot. I think it's awesome. It's about a 3 mile stretch and the water is almost always calm. It can get crowded on the weekend though with alot of skiers and wakeboarders. Just up the river in Elgin is another good riding spot and I've never seen it crowded.

Where on the Illinois river do you normally ride?

Wow didn't realize stc was that long. How far north do you usually go stage? I'll usually turn around at the second island just shy of Capone's hideout.

Yup I was just at the Elgin launch right by highway 90 on Saturday the day I bought my ski. I didn't go too far but right now they are doing some maintenance on the bridge from barges underneath. So for anyone wanting to go to the fox river in Elgin just be prepared for some no wake zones

Well I just got back from the fox today and logged my ride via GPS. 5.5mi indeed!

DNR was also there today flagging people down. Checked my paperwork and fire estiguisher. Ironically this is only the second time in 10 years I've seen them there...
