Finally After Years It's almost ready

    DSC00328.JPGDSC00330.JPGDSC00329.JPG

theres been a ton of crap happen torwards the end of the build that i had to push this to the side but finally got it all going this weekend.

still have not solved a few issues like electrical box that the msd cdi and coil and now i can't close the lid, i guess they are too big.

another is cooling routing with the riva red, not sure if i have it right or not. i'll send some engine pics later, im still embarrassed of how it looks ....lol..

i can't get good pics of it close up but it looks way better than in the photos

don't laugh, its my worst work i promise, i just slapped everything together to see if it actually worked and ran
i did the foax carbon fiber with silver and black and some anti slip mat, doesn't look bad for a first time paint job but it definately has its flaws.....lol
this ski was a basket case when i got it
i put the wet jet 46mm carb and westcoast f/a that i had laying around, stock reeds, bored .50 over with the riva pipe that i assume use to be red that someone powder coated purple
pops right off, no primer needed, even after sitting for a few days, can't remember what jets/pop off i put in

    problems:
cant get ebox lid to bolt down properly, coil is too big w/o modifying the lid
cooling routing, i see lots of different chematics online but not sure how this one went/goes
water is not warm enough to go rip it a new one

i was going to do the big pump as well as some other stuff but just got tired of always having a work in progress and just want to ride again.....

I'm looking at the thread on my my phone.. Can't really view pictures well. I'm considering the Riva pipe on my current build. I have a Factory B Pipe on my other FX and my SJ/SN. Are you running an OEM e box with an MSD ignition enhancer? That is what I have on my skis.. Works great and fits cleanly in the stock box.

yes, running the msd enhancer and msd coil, the coil is the problem.

it seems that the hull is drilled for two seperate spots for the ebox to me mounted to? is this normal or just how this came?

the ski came with the pipe, sounds great, throttle is very snappy!! can't waint to bury one in this thing and see what she's got.

i think motoman gave me some fx1 suggestions long ago but can't remember what they were. this thing WILL be ridden this summer, no matter what.

added a few things today, got rid of the siphon bilge and added a front bumper, nyogel'd all my electrical connectors, added a 650gpm bilge pump, bilge pump bracket and waterproof handlebar switch, capped the water pisser which im sure will piss me off......lol......found out my primer does not work but so far have not needed it, going to look over some water routing tonight and see if i can figure out where things need to be, i mean i know where and how almost any and all two stroke exhaust's are plumbed but not this.

im assuming water enters in through the manifold, travels up through the top of the cylinders, out the top of the cylinder in your choice of 3 spots, then goes to the head pipe, bottom of head pipe to stinger, other head outlet split or hull exit???

this head has 3 exits, one is plugged since the exhaust bracket pretty much blocks it, the other is a larger one and one is very tiny. ive never seen the tiny one.

Re: Finally After Years It's almost ready

just as an update, ski runs great, going to take the riva ride plate off and install a carbon fiber one and see if i can get it to stop the rear from wanting to slide out, also thinking about installing some tubbies....any thoughts? i can barely hang on this thing at wot....went up against my buddies 2016 superjet (all stock) and just left him like he was on a 550....lol...the throttle response with all the mods is pretty nice......i can't imagine a 951 in one of these...
