Thanks Glyn, this is the pic I was speaking about.

For those of us that rode the waves with Joe, this picture is what we will remember the most. He always made sure that "we" got a picture of OUR exploits. Cruising around the landing zone, he saw the bottom of our boats, more than our trailers did ! Once he was sure he got a good picture of all the riders with us that day, he would then take his jumps. Many of us were honored with U-tube features that he produced as well. Joe was the Air Crew glue, initially pulling us together, and making constant introductions at the ramp of the new guys, to the veteran riders. If I am to guess, Joe graced well over 100 riders with pictures that they will forever cherish.

Was glad to see the names from the past responding to the thread.

Bernie, wanted to be sure you knew. As, I met you and Joe at the ramp the same day, my first in the waves, in 2003.

Quite a bit posted on Facebook. Pictures and thoughts of those Joe touched.

I plan to drive up on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing those that can make it.

Thanks for posting this. I flew out to chicago during Mondays snow storm on biz and am returning tomorrow late night. I wish I could be there tonight. Watching the snowfall on Monday while waiting to board, among many of my thoughts were of how Joe would have loved to get a rip in this light fluff on his phazer, as his last post on here was in regards to the season in the sled thread.

Since I don't facebook, I'll post my favorite joe memory here. It was a big storm with good surf. My x2 was down so I dragged the old waverunner down to Hampton. A bunch of the OG members were there that day. Joe and I jumped the same wave about 10 feet apart from each other. When we crested in the air , he to my left, we both looked at each other. The airborne ear to ear grin we gave each other was priceless. I always remember that look on his face of sheer thrill and excitement he had. That was Joe in the moment , and defines surf, jetskiing, and Joe to his fullest.

Good to see some old friends , reminisce , and remember Joe.

I remember once , we were at Petes business maintenance garage and Joe showed up on his brand new KTM super moto . I had a ridden motorcycles but didn't yet have my motorcycle license. Joe insisted I take it for a ride. After a hair raising , socks blown off rip down route 16B , I remember pulling back into the garage and Joe had that huge grin on his face .

Well, as many said, what Joe did best was get people together.

Certainly happened last night, as many Hampton wave riders were there, as well as the guys from the lake rides.

As there was some discussion last night, let me post that we have had a thought about a summer get together, to honor our friend. Maybe Milton, maybe Hampton. Lets see what the group says. I'm throwing out the second weekend end July to start the ball rolling. 9th is Saturday.

Damm, I'm gonna miss him....

I know this post is old but I don't get on here really that often. I am speechless. I remember the day I met you all at Hampton like it was yesterday. Joe will be missed beyond any imagination. Please let me know if there ends up being a get together I will absolutely do my best to get there.

Joe, your pride and joy will ride again in the g crew! Shes had a rough couple years, but still fires up. I couldnt let her see a fate of rattle can and demise on the open market. I plan to ride her hard and put her away wet all next season, just as Joe would have wanted.

A light restore at some point with a silver respray, new seat cover and turf. And maybe a custom tribute h20rocket decal. Shes staying in the theme he left her in. Shes in good hands!
