Factory piped hx on pump gas?

I have a 95 hx I just bought a factory pipe for it and got reading that these pipes put the 720 into detonation on the rear cylinder (pto). I have also read bill built a hx for a guy with a pair of 44s and the factory pipe that ran on pump gas?
i am looking for a recipe to make the engine last with the factory pipe
what carbs, jets and if you stagger the sizes, what size pilots, what pop off and how many turns out on the needles?

    need help guys
    please and thank you!

looking forward to hearing from bill also

I try that first, also use a skat-trak 16/21 prop that would allow the engine to rev higher than the stock prop. If I remember correctly those engines will experience detonation from 6800 to 6900 regardless of quality of gas so you want to be way above that range.
    I hope it helps

And also, you need run to 96 octanes if you want a 7200rpm + ...same thing for fp spec 2 for 7400 rpm
    Rossier 7250 rpm
    110 mid pipe/200 stinger
    Head 43cc/45 squish
    Strak swirl 17/22

Stock 787 carbs from a 96 model will put you pretty close. They bolt right on.
