I understand the different exhaust outlet locations between the hulls of the x-2 and the sxr. But, I think the change is actually within the foam that is made especially for the jf800 (x-2)and not the js800 (sxr) as they are different.
    as in this example: http://www.impex-jp.com/catalogs/mar...2839_1943.html

BTW: the bars only cost $105 dollars. super stoked when they arrived, because yeah, you cannot get those awesome grips otherwise.
I don't see how the SXR tube can work in the X2...the difference in location will make the SXR tube too short...plus the X2 tube is factory molded with two bends in it...The IMPEX site doesn't show the last 4 numbers of the part number...but I am betting they are different. The difference in the foam for the X2 and the SXR is the small cutout for the hood air hose clearance (CIRCLED) and the angle of the exhaust tube in question, and there is one extra foam block in that assembly for the X2 model not shown in that drawing.

This photo shows the extra foam block in the X2 model that is not shown in that drawing, (I covered the top of it in hydro turf to protect from the heat)

So the Micro-K parts catalog shows the tube to be the exact number of the SXR tube. I am curious if it will be long enough

    Re: My X-2 Gen2 build

Cross referencing the numbers on multiple sites shows the same part number for years 2005 and 2006 and it is for the SXR. Now I'm concerned.

This site also has the same part # with complete reference #'s too:

Thanks for the pic... Here's mine.. tube measures 22" from the end of the foam. and of course there is a few more inches of leeway between the elbows too.

I'm very curious too.. Thanks for pointing this out Jonny!

Here's a pic of the choke and gas nobs. Trinity doesn't mold spaces for these nobs, but there is room on the hull (in the same place) for them.
I wonder if any of you guys actually use them?
