    Heading to Marathon.

    Rented house ocean side right before 7 mile bridge.

    Will be there tomorrow till next Saturday

    Any ideas on how to spend day

    Sorry kinda late on this post, anyway there is a great state park to ride just past the 7 mile bridge going toward Key West, i think its called Honda park, really pretty area even has a beach. Its just about 3 or 4 miles from Marathon

    I know is months pass this post but for futher people visiting this area .
    Yes the state park is Bahia honda . A beautiful park with the best beach you will find in Fl
    it is just passing 7 Miles bridge
    One of the best snorkeling spots is also near by ( Loee key)
    all good snorkeling around bahia honda area
    there is an island (picnic island) where you can stop and make bbq relax in your own little island
    make sure to know the area and restrictions before riding the jetski on the west side . Get a GPS . Easy to miss way back with some many island and bridges

    by land go to deer key . Sometime you will spot 100s of key deers around . Other time just 2 o 3
    no name pub restaurant is an interesting place
    of course go to key west which is only 30 miles south .
    If have some spare time and $ take the Ferry to Dry tortugas national park which is about 70 miles offshore ( no not plan to make this trip by your own) thr ferry is the only allowed to dock on the island there is not fuel service
    A fishing trip is a must . You can get this anywhere on the keys
