Is the Boat US On Line Boater Safety Course good for Long Island?

Has anyone taken the Boat US On Line Boater Safety Course?
They are advertising it on their website as the only online course approved for NY.

    https://www.boatus.org/newyork/

It would seem that if it is approved & you get your ID card or get it added to your drivers license, it would be valid on Long Island, but I'm curious if anyone has done it yet. It comes with this notice:
    Suffolk County Boaters

NEW YORK'S BOATER EDUCATION LAW, SIGNED BY THE GOVERNOR IN 2013, WILL SUPERSEDE SUFFOLK COUNTY'S PREVIOUSLY ENACTED BOATER EDUCATION REQUIREMENT AS OF 5/1/2014.

    Anyone have any input?

    Deer Park.
The reason I asked is that LI was the only hold out for classroom certifications only. The rest of NY state was OK with on line courses. If you were in Queens you were good, Nassau you were no good.
Was wondering if anyone had first hand knowledge.

Yes, it's good. I did mine and got my NYS adventure license.

Just finished the course this past Sunday and it transferred to the NYS drivers license "Adventure License" designation (for a DMV fee of $12.50 for a new license) with the anchor icon on it. You should be fine, as it's a state thing, not county.
