    Re: Comprehensive Parts List for (2006-2007) Kawasaki X-2 gen2 Jetski (JF800A6F)

    It still makes me mad that Kawasaki did not sell this in the U.S. after all the U.S. market did for the original. I know emissions and EPA b.s. but I wish they found a way.

    We were all hoping they would come out with a 4 stroke version....Early days of 4 stroke power was luggish off the line, not the case anymore. Still, I don't think that's gonna happen.

    If I had the money, I would produce my own version of the X-2. It was a great jet ski, that more people should get to experience. There is nothing like it.

    Sadly, No. Why? Have you?
    I heard they are a slightly different ride from gen 1's.

    They are nothing like the gen 1.
    The name is the same and they have the same basic style but that is where the similarities end. Depending on what you want to use it for, the reduced weight of your Trinity Epic may not be in your best interest.
    That reduced weight also drastically changes the handling characteristics and it ends up nothing like a genuine Retro X2.

    X2cy has a gen2 hull on here for sale that hes been trying to sell for quite some time. Probably would have been a cheaper route. Ive ridden quite a few gen2's and have done some heavy mods to the hulls. I have a trinity hull at my shop now that the customer wants extensive pump mods done to it. Like you I wanted badly to try one and got to ride one of the first to arrive in the states. I didn't like a single thing about it. But there are people who do.

    Freeriding on the lake is what I do. Carving buoys and wake tricks.
    I can't imagine the displacement on the water being any different because of the reduced weight. other than it being able to fly out of the water more easily.
    Maybe the nose rides a little higher? If anything like the sxr's...I will likey lots!
    I love the punch the stock 800's have.
    The stock 650's and 750's just didn't have the punch I always desired...I'm not modding my ski...I value stock reliability too much.
    Jonny, If you could explain what I'm in for on a gen 2....I would appreciate very much! TIA

    @WB
    What were a few things you didn't like about it? Please explain, if you time.

    I'm curious as well what some opinions of a lightweight gen2 x2 are. I rode a 1100 gtx2 and it was awesome I loved it and would love to have one of my own be it a triple or twin. I love my gen1 x2s for messing around and I love the sxr for railing buoys, the gtx2 felt like the perfect mix. How do the bullet and trinity gen2 x2s compare to one of the previously built GTX2s and further more a genuine gen2?
