Finished up new fuel tap thanks to "delagem" for the idea, put his screen name wrong in previous post. I used 3" round 6061T6 and ended with a final thickness of .365". I turned the small step into the bottom of tap and will be able to use stock gasket.

Here are the NAS 1832-3-5 fasteners installed in the windshield mount holes.

Bilge sealed on the top side, painted and ready to start reassembling.

Engine not completely tuned yet but going to get it back into this hull now. Still learning how the engine tuning/setup works.

Re: '90 Jetmate tunnel removal and hull overhaul

Working on switching complete drive lines between the 2 hulls this past weekend. Had both with the same amount of equipment installed and tried lifting them at the rear. What a difference, original hull can barely be lifted off trailer without throwing out my back and overhauled hull can be lifted without effort.

    Dry mate!

Driftmaster, when you cut down the seats for Log Ride do you have to fill the cavity of the seats with foam?

Found a blower that is a replacement for the factory part from Amazon.com. Mounts as the original did and is a Jabsco model 351156-0020 flange mount 3" blower.

Installed fuel tank and realized the new fuel tap I made needed one tap hole. Needed third hole for so I could have main, reserve and return fuel. Tap modified and installed ready for gas.

Couldn't find a tee fitting to run cooling water from 1/2 in line to two 3/8 lines. Made this fitting and will add cylinder head fitting with second cooling line this winter.

Waiting for a fitting for the pump to make outlet from 3/8 to 1/2 cooling line.

Re: '90 Jetmate tunnel removal and hull overhaul

Parts didn't show up in time to finish getting boat done before winterizing. Need to finish setting engine up in the spring, don't have the jetting right on the low end yet. Never missed with jetting until now so learning and doing is slow.

Steering was sloppy at speed so I put Rhaas rod ends to replace factory ball posts.

Boat needed a capacity plate for the water cops and I found this place Garzon Studios that can make them. Took the information of the other Jetmate and filled it on there web site. Pictures of the original and the new on made up.

Can't wait till spring to get back on the water.

I don't want to rain on your parade just interject a word of caution, keep an eye on that fuel return, the reason copper is not normally used for fuel lines is that it work hardens when subjected to vibration then it fatigues and is prone to cracking.

It may be okay in that area or it may not be, I know Jetmates have a pretty rough ride, at the least I would secure all the fuel linnes so they cannot whip, stainless steel would be a better choice on that particular part, inside the tank it shouldn't be an issue.

Good work so far keep at it !

No ride report, didn't get boat put together before I had to put it away for the winter. Could of slapped a few things together and went but I would have had to pull it all a part again.
