    MN title dilemma

ok so i thought it would be a great idea to buy some cheaper get ski's down here(stationed in socal) and ship them back to Minnesota where they are worth a lot more money and more scarce. So i bought a mint 650 and X2 for $1800 they had titles with them and 1 was in the owners name and the other was in his moms name or something. ( the police ran the Vin numbers and they were both not stolen, apparently the 650 hasnt been registered since 2001 and the X2 allegedly was never registered in california ) so i have a friend trailer them up to my dad (in MN) where he goes into get them registered and get new titles but the lady tells him that he cant register one of them because one of the titles was never registered to him it was registered to the owner before him. Now im not really sure what to do i bought a 550 last year from cali and brought it to MN and i didnt even get a title with it and they gave me the registration no problem should i just go somehwere else and give them the bill of sale i got? any help would be appreciated

    Re: MN title dilemma

I found 2 X2's in the entire state and one guy wanted $1500 and the other $1700 in not the best condition, these are pretty damn mint skis the guy bought the 650 brand new and barely used it, the only 650 I found in the entire state was $1400. Hell I was watching 550's sell for 1k within days on Craigslist

This is correct, amazing the price of skis around here. I had a guy trying to sell me a 650sx with no motor for $650.

As for the titling just go to the Wisconsin DNR site. Register your ski, and then transfer it to MN. It is a loop hole in the system. Wisconsin only cares if they get there money.

    the only 650 i could find ^^

in my opinion i got a good deal, and these craigslist ads say the same and there are not many out there in MN but im not an expert on the subject by any means. i never would have thought to take it to Wisconsin, if all else fails i will try that

sold my x2 last year for $1000 and it was extremely clean and with MN reg in my name.

Ill sell you a clean 650sx now for $1000 with MN reg in my name.

Thats what they are asking for these skis and they are high as a kite, they will either not sell or they will find some sucker
