    Sport Spec Open Question

I have a pro water cross tour stop in my town this year, I'm considering giving sport spec open a shot. I'd be running this class only because I have two 701 SNSJs, and a HX 1100 with a yami powerplant.

I know my SJs don't have a flying chance of being competitive so I'd rather not compete with them. I have no expectations to win with the HX, but I don't feel like being lapped two or three times. Will the HX at all be competitive? Mostly looking to have fun and meet some people in the ski world. I can provide more stats on the boat if needed, but I think sport spec riders would have an idea... Thanks for any input.

    Re: Sport Spec Open Question

There is no sport spec open class anymore, unfortunately. They only have sport gp. As to whether your ski will be competitive, yes. It might not be able to holeshot with some of the skis that are going to be there, but if there is any chop whatsoever, you will have a fighting chance coming from behind. Nothing handles chop like an HX.

I never built a DI. I was planning to for a while but just got overwhelmed with everyday life. Besides, I've been riding Mead since the 2 stroke ban without incident. Maybe we can get JP to show up with his DI blaster though.

Well that kinda sucks because I'm the other way around. Not sure I can make Havasu but will probably hit Parker.
