A well setup limited B2 will run 52-53 mph. Which is not bad for it's weight & drag.

Mine has an ADA head, Pro-tec pipe, 44mm blackjacks, FA's, V-force III reeds, spacer, R&D mani, jet works valve, Pro-tec ride plate, 2- bar intake grate & bored exit nozzle & QSTS.

I think it's going to be tuff to get a B2 to break 50 mph .. But I do believe that if a good rider were to get a great start that a spec B2 could get out front - but I don't think we will see one regularly running out front. Either way, it's another platform for potential participants in one of our largest regional classes. We have a lot of sport guys who love the classes, all of whom just want race & if allowing B2s to race brings a few more entries to the line, then everybody is happy.

B2s wont be competitive for wins IMO, but they will be easier for some riders to use on the track, which can bring more riders to the line, which is the most important thing. Win win.

Imo, anyone with the sac to race one against blasters and hxs, should be allowed almost anything
If I can't get my hands on a b1, hx, or now even a b2 before next season I'll run an x2 against the big boys.

Not to side track from the discussion on b2s.
But I like the sound of what yamabooeey mentioned. I would love to see more x4s and 785s racing. I know there was a good enough turn out at Watkins for a runabout 800open class but not quite at the other two races. I know of a couple guys who race/are interested in racing who have 785 pros and xp800s. (Myself included)

Has NEWA ever considered any ideas to draw out these smaller runabouts?
