What mph numbers is it running? How does it compare to the other sport boats

It's not that bad Dan, but a good Spec boat is going to be tuff for the B2 to handle. Although we all know anything is possible out there, the spec B2 is significantly slower out of the hole & up top - it does have decent mid range though. We just like the idea of breaking the mold each season & trying something new.

Someone who is completely unable to board and actually ride a b1 or hx will absolutely be faster on a b2: gar-uhn-teeed. Heck, they might even manage to beat a few b1 and hx riders that like to enjoy a refreshing swim during motos.

Re: Sport Spec/GP with a twist

I agree the B2 is a fun buoy runner and no threat to a spec class HX or B1. I would look forward to racing it again. I find the B1 just to hard to manage being 6'4 & 230 lbs. I have out grown my B1 IMHO. It's more of a fun freestyle ski these days.

I haven't GPS'd my B2 which is a full bolt-on 760. It's much better out of the hole then the Lake Anna days now & a fun ski all around. I have been shopping for a 1200 for it, but will hold off now.

The B2 will never holeshot. But they have the advantage of being able to run a course WOT the entire race without ever having to let off. Working their way up. The ultimate buoy carver!

Re: Sport Spec/GP with a twist

RaiderMagic - if you have never raced, you really don't want to consider GP class - it's basically open class triple conversion skis. Spec class is where you would want to start - in spec you can run an aftermarket exhaust system, carbs, reeds, intake manifold, impeller, cylinder head, intake grate & ride plate. No internal engine work like porting, no lightened flywheel, compression is limited to 190lbs.& you must run a stock pump.

Nice to read the replies & interest outside of our region - thank you all for chiming in. We believe allowing the B2 into our sport classes will work for our racers & our tour. Our events are all about innovation - we are the only series which we know of that runs a Kawasaki SC sport cruiser " Super Chicken Class ", which is a blast ! .. Progression, not the same old same old.

Great idea, Kev. At DJSA we run the triple blasters with Seadoo X4 800s, 1100 XIRs, triple HXs and Polaris 785s. It's a lot of fun for the spectators and racers as anyone can win a moto. Having different model skis with about the same speeds and sizes are fun to race with.
