    Re: Project HX

Some other cool news. I was really not looking forward to making a custom waterbox. I called TDR just to ask a question about modifying a used TDR box and Tony (I think that was his name?) said he would make me a special HX waterbox with a bigger 2 1/4" in and out to match the 1100. I guess they do this for alot of people. I did not know, but Im glad I called!

I saw the pump was worth the extra work since you have it down this far, but of course ive never rode an hx with a 951 with the 140mm pump so I cant compare, but I do know with the 155mm there is no cavitataion what so ever at all, what size pumps come in the kawi 1100 skis,id base it off that if they cane with a 148 I dont know if the 155 will gain anything or hurt anything, a friend if mine built an 1100 hx with just a stock big hub 140mm and I can tell you that thing rips hard, to me it seemed perfect in there, if you do decide to go with the 155 get the pump shoe off a 98 or 99 xpl and you will have to trim the top of it ,I can send you more info if you would like
