So I pulled the motor and remove the valve I am now waiting for one to come in the mail I am hoping the carb leak will work itself out or something (probably wishful thinking) but i really don't want to replace the carbs.

If I need to what should I replace the carbs with? Currently has the stock keihin dual carbs
There is a process where you can flip the stock plate over and use it as a blockoff or you can use a pipe tap and tap the holes , then use pipe plugs and 1211 to plug the holes up .

ok guys the blockoff is ordered! also picked up a JRE shortened sub plate!

Next issue is the carb leak.

Will I lean out if I run it this way? (leaking gas from the throttle shaft)
I keep hearing about SXR carbs. what are the benefits? ( fuel economy is a factor for me)
would I need a different intake? Are there other options?

SXR carbs are just dual 40mm mikuni SBN's. Pretty easy to come by as far as dual sbn's go. I use a factory big pin intake.

Re: Build thread! 750 jetmate wakeskate machine

My brother and I built this tower for my 750 Wetmate. We found that if you install a tower that mounts to the top of the gunwhale, the fiberglass is to thin and its tough to find a spot to through bolt that instead of lag bolting it. We used the stock grab handle spots and built this one to be stronger than Blowsions and be able to pull a wakeskate.
