MX style buoy race track at lake elsinore ?

Well we have one more meeting with lake elsinore city planner on the 12th and we could have a place to riding buoys close to home. It will be in the chanel behind the storm stadium. It will be run just like a mx track. - the watertruck. The Main track will be a mx style tite course with log jumps. and a easier fun track for the beginners. So now with that said. let's hear what you are thinking ?

Re: MX style buoy race track at lake elsinore ?

I think a kind of club should be created to generate some Kind of income for buoys, anchors etc, and try to buy our breakfast or lunch as well as our gasoline or diesel from stores in lake Elsinore to see if at least in a small scale we can bring business to local vendors and of course let them know that we are in their stores because of the track that has been created, so they appreciate our presence. The only concern is how to keep or train (teach) people with no experience what so ever from using the track during the time that nobody is there and getting in an accident. You guys probably thought about it. Please count on me if I can help in any way.

Sounds like a good idea. Wish I lived closer. Especially since Body Beach will probably be gone by this time next year.

Great idea, Mike. Charles Sims lives right there and uses that lake very often. He's semi-retire, so he may have some interest helping you get this started. If only I wasn't so far, I would definitely help you out.

Re: MX style buoy race track at lake elsinore ?

Many thanks Mikey for all your effort on our behalf!!
I will be a regular user if R/As are allowed (like @
certain times of the day, or one day a wk, or
    whatever worx).

I like the idea of required club membership and/or
IJSBA membership to ‘filter’ users for safety and
liability issues. But also have certain times/events
where beginners/new racers can give racing a ‘look-see’,
    supervised/organized.

Personally I will gladly pay club dues and daily use fees
to make this financially viable and reward the efforts it
will take to be done correctly and safely.
Gas for me is $80 per trip (and ~3 1/2 hrs each way)
    to do Body Beach.

And the channel is a perfect place to set up buoys. No
hazard to other lake users and plenty of pit space. Jmo.
    Good luck!

(Tim, what’s up w/BBeach nxt yr??)
    Thanks...

City of Havasu is looking at either extending Rotary Beach 9 acres into Body Beach or just putting the land up to the highest bidder to do what they like with it. Either way it most likely means Body Beach will be either off limits or at best, regulated and a fee to use. According to the article I read, the next phase for all this is roughly 6-8 months away so this technically could be the last summer any of us can ride there. A large amount of riders on Facebook, including myself, are looking into preventing any of this from happening.
