    Jack, nozzle is stock x2 nozzle underneath, no modifications

    Also, spoke to engine shop today.

    Turns out head gasket failure was most likely due to the fact that domes in the head were larger than the bores, which he said would have left the gasket edges exposed and ready to get very hot.

    Anyway, plan is to remachine the head properly.

    Hopefully will be collecting it Monday.

    Says that he always recommends to run his engines on 98 octane so that is what I shall do

    Probably worth saying that 97RON in the UK is about equivalent to 91 octane in USA

    Head milled & cut





    Preben said squish rings are cut to 0.55mm, I built the motor up earlier, makes 170psi so that's good.
