This is being considered for sure.
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Re: 1974 Jetski find - info please

Got a chance to meet up with Kurt and he showed my brother and I this hull. After some digging online all the pics I can find of 74s appear to have the standard bottom as we know it today. If anyone has a 74 please post some bottom details. In the mean time, we took this comparison pic to show the difference.

Kurt's hull looks like it would be very squirrelly without the characteristic hull strakes. I bet it would be extremely fun but also dangerous for railing high speed turns. It reminds me of some of the early yamaha hulls which are known for their sliding action.

I have a 1974 and it has the standard Strakes. Gary hart of Jet Trim has one too. Standard Strakes as well.

1974s had it on the opposite side. Some 1973s had it on the opposite side as well.

Wow I think you really have something there! I'd restore everything back to original including an engine and pump but bolt in a 750 engine/ pump (once Rhaas releases his kit) to see how it really handles with some power. Nice find!

It does seem pretty unique, I'll be doing some sanding (lightly) on it to try and determine if it was reshaped or laid up this way.
