That is a beauty! Nice work, I love the lines. I'm surprised you didn't tubby it or widen it, but to each his own. It should be a fun ride!
i did do a rough draft model up of some that can be glued on with uathane , but decided against (ended up in the to much time consuming pile for the time being ) " so " tubbies could be a posibility later down the track ,if need be , since this will be a surf and freestyle ski " i dont think " it will be needing the stability at speed that tubbies give ,although they could be an advantage when wave jumping in the surf so i will see how the ride isfirst , and go from there with that option
yes i have the mould for the front , i also have a mould for the rear fills , with the rear fills i pull parts from the moulds , blend them on just like the front ,i just need to drill a hole in the underside so as i can refill the cavitys with expanding foam ....
The real question is what kind of power and pump will be put in this? DASA? Mag pump? At a min it has to have a 750 motor and pump...
i have a proven freestyle build 650 set up i am very happy with that i will be using in this hull "" yes a 650 """ ,all parts ,steering ,engine ,electrics ,pump, etc will be cannablized from my other SX ,since that was an exeptional surf /freestyle combo i dont think building a new set up will be necessery ....
it was sad to see the trusted Sx come to peices today ,,""" anyways for a good cause "" found a few odds and ends that need some attention before fittment of some parts to the new hull """ like a stop button wire that fell apart when i pulled the plug connector """ soooo the old hull is now stripped and some assembly was done today .... also i took some pics of the length comparisment ....
