So here we go. I am flatdecking my x2. I have already started to defoam the ski.

    Plans for the ski are:

    Cart Tank
    Front Fill
    Rear Exhaust
    Scupper
    New water Lines 1/2"
    Paint
    Hood Chop
    Fuel door fill

    The ski currently has:
    750sp
    Grs 46 carb
    Coffmans Exhaust manifold
    Coffmans pipe
    Drilled waterbox
    UMI bottom stop
    CATS trim
    750 electrics
    10/18 Big hub swirl
    Pump Stuffer
    650 Pump
    Drive shaft fill

Any advice would be helpful! Hope this all goes well!

    Here are some before pics.

Defoming is no fun. Hopefully it warms up so I can get back in the garage this week.

    Question...why the kart tank?

IMO, the only reason to run a kart tank would be because you are using a pipe that doesnt fit with the stock tank. I would rather not limit how much fuel I can hold unless I needed too...but thats just my opinion.

Matt the cart tank is almost 2.5 gallons. I ride only at my lake cabin and only ever put 2 gallons in at a time. Plus I am thinking about moving the ebox and battery around. And my stock tank almost has a hole in it from where the exhaust clamp was rubbing so I got a cheap cart tank.
Im not going with a tiny cart tank like some I have seen.
    Hope that makes sense?

Yea that makes sense for sure. I usually only put ~2 gallons in, but some days of riding I put 5 gallons in to cruise to the other sides of the lake and I have used 5 gallons all at once lol.

I rarely would fill up all the way. I dont like how heavy the front gets, Given x2's already are very heavy up front. But I think it will be a good change! We will see how it goes!

Waiting on the weather. The ski is defoamed. I need a day around 30 degrees so I can heat my garage enough to pour my foam. It has been in the single digits for about two weeks here.
