    Cool thread, Fox!

I too was a teenager growing up in the '80's and I absolutely LOVE this music! I really enjoyed going over the posts and info you provided since I didn't follow or know most of the info you shared. So THANKS for great info and what's with that son-in-law of yours!

I had XM radio many many years ago maybe 17 yrs ago) in my 2001 Toyota SUV along with the portable radio with the stereo head made by Adelphia (I still have this radio and head) and I only listened to the '80's on 8(Channel 8 for '80's of course!). I get my '80's fix on some weekends when a tv channel is playing '80's music videos.

I would tune into Ch. 9 ('90's) on XM from time to time to give it a chance. But the music was too dang whiney and depressing sounding(except for the Foos of course!) for my ears. All of the decades music are great in their own respect. But I prefer the most influential decade in music that lives on to this day...the '80's of course!

Hats off to a great thread!

Yeah, that same H&O TFF tour just came through Wisconsin too. I was too busy to hit it. Now I'm really sad that I missed it...

Thinking back about 10 yrs. ago. I went to Lake Las Vegas to watch Hall & Oates on a floating stage. The audience was to sit on the lawn on the beach about 100' away from the stage.

But the show was cancelled due to a family emergency from either Hall or Oates. I don't recall which it was).

I rented an electric boat on the lake and looked at that stage as I passed by it. I went on to have some fun in the sun instead.

    Bummer...

I had forgotten about this thread for a long time. Just remembered that I took my wife to see Cheap Trick over Labor Day weekend 2015, at the Walworth County Fair in Elkhorn, only 20 miles from home. Robin was 62 years-old and I think Rick was 67. Robin still sounds fantastic and Rick still jumps around like a kid. Really excellent show. We even met, and took a selfie with, some woman from Japan at the show. She had attended the famous Budokan concert, and this was her 198th Cheap Trick concert. Oh, and when I was a HS freshman (1982, and keep in mind I grew up in the area where Cheap Trick originated and played all the venues), one of my freshman buddies had an older sister who was supposedly dating Robin, though I suspect it was more of a groupie kind of thing, now that I'm all growed up
