Only thing close is the Potomac River but you will have to go west into Washington county above Dam 4

Where do you put in at for middle river? Whats it like there? I'm looking for a good spot to ride standups and the flyboard outside of PA. Maybe this saturday? Anyone going to be out?

Wilson Point is the place to launch into Middle River:

If you want to water ski on the weekend try Dam 4 (exit 28 Downsville on I-70). Most of the areas around Middle River are 6 knots on the weekend.

Gave wilson point a try. Great little spot but most ofn it was no wake. There was a cove to the right of the launch we ran the flyboard in. The patrol guy was really nice and explained all the rules. Nice sandy area to beach the skis. We had a lot of fun spectators and enjoyed dinner at the resturaunt right beside the launch. Great day and will be back.

Also tried a Botini. Good stuff.

Check out Rocky point State Park. Good thing about Rocky Point is the launch is right on the Bay at the mouth of Back river , no 6 knot zone. Its a $5.00 fee (well worth it not to deal with the yahoos at Wison point, although It's prob not bad this time of year) There are 2 launches at Rocky Point. unless you have bigger boats use the ramp all the way in the back. The kids and I were out yesterday afternoon and we were the only ones there. We usually try and set up shop at Hart Miller island. and ride from there. The Jet Mate barge helps us with the transport of beverage and chairs etc.

                    "The patrol guy..." --- LOL

                    DNR loves Wilson Point.

Hart Miller Island is a great place to go on the weekends.

I haven't launched out of Rocky Point before but the fact that I can avoid the weekend 6 knot zones in Middle River may make it worth it.
