I'm getting ready to replace the throttle cable in my 1999 Seadoo XP Limited. It looks like I'm going to have to remove the muffler assembly to reach the carb assembly. If that's the case will I need new gaskets when I reinstall the muffler assembly? Also is there an easy way to keep the cables on my watercraft lubricated? I keep this watercraft (and a 2004 Seadoo RXP) on lifts parked over brackish water. Thanks in advance.

Don't re use any gaskets, replace what ever is removed, unfortunately there is no good way to keep the cables lubed.www.shopsbt.com

You can remove the carbs without disturbing the pipe. If the pipe doesn't leak, I wouldn't touch it. It is a common leak point on 951s. Remove the airbox assembly, move the oil reservior, remove the 4 Allen bolts holding the carbs on with a ball end wrench, and pull the carbs out through where the oil tank was.
