    Jetting Guru's! Dual 3 jet Keihin CDK2 40's help!

    96' sxi, stock, dual Keihin cdk2 40mm. I think the current jetting is as follows: 168 / 72 / 36 - but I can verify tomorrow and repost if different.

    Installing the following:
    Pjs manifold/pipe/ inline resonator, flame arresters,r&d intake and ride plate, blueprinted pump, impros custom impeller(low end for a fat kid)


    Any ideas on jetting and pop off pressure? I'm at 113 above sea level. These are the 3 jet Keihin's.

    Any setup things I need to know installing the PJS pipe? H2O restrictors etc.

    just curious is there really 168 mains in there now? Is this motor ported?
    '88 550-ride plate,intake grate,intake manfold,carb
    '96 GTX-1mm overbore,F/a's,intake grate,port timed for mid and top end
    '95 FX 1- usually take this motor to 753cc with exhaust porting and reeds

    Your guess is as good as mine, I just bought the ski and torn into it. It had been a bit neglected and I wanted to do some pm's as well as the performance stuff that I knew I'd want done to it. I'll pull the carb off tonight when I get home from work. -

    I forgot I had written the jet sizes down in the manual, I was kinda excited for a minute thinking I had some great hopped up motor!

    But, probably not. Looks like the jets are as follows: 135 / 72 / 45

    Looks like my memory has got worst with age! LOL.

    Ok that is more like it. That is stock ss xi jetting.

    Pipes usually add just a little bit of high screw opening. At most one jet change. The xir with the wrap around pipe has 68 45 130 and that just has flame arrestors and the resonator different. My experience is the ss xi seems to be pretty conservative stock, but that's probably a good place to start.

    On my 550/750 with a pjs pipe and supertrap waterbox I have 68 45 130.

    My sx is almost identical to yours, flame arrestors, pjs wrap around pipe off an xir, no resonator, big pin head, and dual carbs off an xir. I am running whatever came in the carbs off the xir, but I think they are what vetteman posted. I am also running sit down cylinders, which cylinders are you running?

    I think the cylinders are from the original set up. They look to be factory painted charcoal silver- I think the small pin motors had a different color jugs from the factory, distinguishing them, not too sure if that's the case with the sit downs

    I ran a set of those 3 jet Keihins for a while with a mild 750. I raised the middle jet one size because of the aftermarket flame arrestors. Other than that I used the stock jets and just opened the needles a little.

    They all look the same. I found out I have sit down cylinders after buying a cut head from Zigler. It didn't raise compression, and some investigating shows there are several versions of the 750 small pin. The sit downs had higher exhaust ports
