the lower the pitch the better bottom end hit it will give you....higher pitch is for higher speeds....

I have a 92 sj with a 701 62t, and everything is stock besides the water box ,spring and a few other little things but I've always been told the factory pipe is always a good first upgrade, kinda pricey though. Any pix of you sj?

Are the protecs a good substitute if you find a cheap one instead of a factory?

Come to the Wisconsin Dells Freeride, May 31st to June 2nd, and there will be about a hundred Super Jets + about a hundred other skis to answer ALL your questions (much more effectively than any forum will ever be able to) - no offense. There is no more effective and faster way to decide the best way to mod your SJ than hanging out with and riding as many modded SJs as you can at a freeride full of easy-going SJ riders...

Do yourself a favor and get a 701. You can spend a lot of money trying to get a 650 to the level of a stock 62t.

    Re: 1990 superjet

650 Super jet is a great ski to get started coming from 550 's ....
no need to upgrade anything at the moment , get a bilge, make sure oem is working and start with some easy tricks, like subs, 180 slides etc till you really get the feel for the ski

tons of impeller charts for baseline on Impros website
    ( see example )
    http://impros.com/store/index.php/te...ercraft-5.html

I personally on a non modified ski would look at 14-14.5/18.5-19 or even a 13/16 depending on elevation good all around impeller, you can find these used quite cheap.
