    Monster Motorsports XIR1100

Have to say big thanks to Robinson for letting me water test the new XIR1100 he built for the runabout open spec class. Brand new motor, so didn't want to hit it too hard, but man, this thing is fun. Not 100% yet, still waiting on a few set up things, but once done, this thing is going to be a beast!

First water test / break in for the Monster Motorsports Runabout Open Spec XIR 1100!

Yes, I enjoyed it even tho I couldn't really hammer on it, lol. Once he gets the timing advance and the right prop, it is going to be a whole different level of nasty!

Rode this beast earlier. Just plain nutty!

I felt like even less of a man afterwards, after being told its only 80% dialed in.. Such an awesome ride. Thanks for letting me ride it Scott.

What's involved in dropping one of these 1100's in a XIR? Is it a drop in mod, what bedplate & shaft are you using? Im getting a hull from a friend in a couple weeks.

Glass work. Basically extended the stringers to bolt in the 1100. 1100 bedplate, 6 550 style motor mounts (these team hulls are a bit different from the production units). xir shaft. There is no room to move the motor rearward, as the coupler is basically at the bulkhead. 760 yamaha waterbox fits like it was meant to be there, and the chamber water jacket has to be cut out and welded up where it hits the footwell (see the thread in this section), or you can glass a bubble in the footwell.

I may end up selling the carbon xir hull, you can use a 800 or 1100 motor in it.I really want to focus on the farthing x-4 hull.i have way too much money tied up in ski's right now!

it's a blast to ride probably around 62mph with a 1100 in it,if you watch the video scottie posted under spec runabout racing you will see my zxi barely outran it to the first turn.

I used to have a x4 800 limited. I loved the way it handled but I hated the doo motor. How will a 1100 xir compare?

it will not handle like a x4 hull......with this much power it is a bit of a handful to say the least.
